Pat McKeough

A professional investment analyst for more than 25 years, Pat has developed a stock-selection technique that has proven reliable in both bull and bear markets. His proprietary ValuVesting System™ focuses on stocks that provide exceptional quality at relatively low prices. Many savvy investors and industry leaders consider it the most powerful stock-picking method ever created.

As early as 1980, Pat was recognized as #1 in the world of published investment advice by the Washington, DC–based Newsletter Publishers Association, and he was the first multi-year winner of The Globe and Mail’s stock picking contest.

Both CBS MarketWatch and The Hulbert Financial Digest recognize Pat as one of North America’s top stock analysts. The Wall Street Journal calls him “one of only four investment newsletter advisors who have managed to serve their readers well over the long haul.”

A best-selling Canadian author, he wrote Riding the Bull, his 1993 book that predicted the stock-market boom that happened later in the decade. Through his many television appearances, he is well-known to investors for his insightful analysis and his candid, unpretentious style.

Bottom line: Pat’s conservative, reduced-risk strategy is a proven approach to safe investing.

Jeff Walker’s freelance writing career stretches back more than two decades. In 1989, he debunked two ultra-gloomy “wave theory” forecasts for the stock market: one from the Kondratieff theorists, in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, and one from Elliott Wave guru Bob Prechter, in Gann & Elliott Wave magazine.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jeff worked with Pat McKeough on two MPL Communications Inc. publications: The Personal Wealth Reporter and The Investment Reporter.

Jeff has also written for the Financial Times of Canada, Metropolitan Toronto Business Journal, Canadian Money Saver, Humanist in Canada and Free Inquiry. Other publications he has contributed to include The Globe & Mail, Skeptical Inquirer, Liberty, Books in Canada, Frank, NeWest, Health Watch and both the Ontario and British Columbia Skeptic newsletters.

Jeff wrote two shows about Ayn Rand for CBC’s Ideas, and these led to his 1999 book, The Ayn Rand Cult. Jeff is also a long-time Beatles fan. That led him to write his second book, Let’s Put the Beatles Back Together Again 1970-2010, which was published in 2010. Jeff has been contributing to TSI Network since January 2011.

Stephen Bishop has been writing about investments for over two decades. He began his career as copywriter for a top Toronto advertising agency working with some of Canada’s best-known retailers. He was also lead writer for the investment blog Daily Buy-Sell Adviser.

More recently, Doug has been working closely with chartered accountants writing articles that have appeared in Canadian and American business journals such as Lawyers Weekly, CAmagazine, For the Defense, The Corporate Lawyer and Advisor, American Journal of Family Law, and many others.

Doug holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

She has also worked as a technical writer for the Alberta and Canadian governments.

Cindy has also continued her music career, and is now a classically trained pianist and organist with many years’ experience teaching music. She continues to be an avid learner, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in health studies. Cindy has been contributing to TSI Network since January 2011.
