Telus buys call centre leader

Formed in 2005, this business operates call centres on behalf of corporate clients in North America, Central America, Europe and Asia. It also helps them manage their computer systems. Telus International has paid a reported 150 million euros ($221.2 million Cdn.) for Irelandbased Voxpro. In addition to call centres in that country and the U.S., Voxpro has operations in Bucharest, Romania, and the Phiippines capital city of Manila. Altogether, Telus International will now have 28,000 employees, including 2,700 from Voxpro.
