Green power fuels these high yields: Brookfield Renewable and Innergex

As concern over the environment has grown over the last several years so, too, has interest in green energy investing. Here are two good choices for environmentally conscious investors seeking long-term gains and reliable dividends from green energy holdings. BROOKFIELD RENEWABLE PARTNERS LP $50 remains a buy. The partnership (Toronto symbol BEP.UN; High-Growth Dividend Payer Portfolio, Utilities sector; Units outstanding: 274.8 million; Market cap: $13.7 billion; Dividend yield: 3.0%; Dividend Sustainability Rating: Above Average; owns 219 hydroelectric generating stations, 102 wind farms and 4,921 solar-power facilities. With the March 2021 payment, Brookfield raised its quarterly distribution by 5.0%, to $0.3038 U.S. a unit from $0.2893 U.S. The new annual rate of $1.215 U.S. yields a reasonable 3.0%. The partnership aims to raise the annual payment by 5% to 9% each year. Brookfield recently secured a new long-term contract to supply electricity to Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq symbol PLUG).
