It also makes ethanol from corn. The company last raised its quarterly dividend by 4.7% in March 2018, to $0.335 a share from $0.32. The new annual rate of $1.34 yields 2.8%. Archer Daniels recently completed its acquisition of Rodelle Inc. Based in Colorado, that firm makes premium vanilla products, including organic and traditional extracts, beans, flavour and paste. Expanding by acquisitions adds risk. However, Rodelle lowers the company’s exposure to volatile crop prices. Archer Daniels Midland is a buy.
