Verizon starts to roll out 5G

If successful, this new system wiil make it easier for Verizon to offer Internet and TV services to more households—particularly in rural areas and underpopulated markets. The company plans to test 5G service in two or three additional U.S. cities by the end 2018. It will focus first on home and business Internet services. That experience will help prepare it to launch mobile 5G services, in 2019 and 2020. Delaying the launch of mobile 5G also makes sense as cellphone manufacturers need time to produce smartphones that are able to take advantage of the higher wireless speeds. Verizon is a buy. buy…
