In all, it has over 12,740 megawatts of generating capacity, with another 7,000 megawatts in development. Currently, 80% of Brookfield’s power generation comes from its hydroelectric operations, 14% from wind, and 6% from biomass and natural gas-fired plants. Overall, 57% of its power generation is in North America, 27% in Latin America, 11% specifically in Brazil, and 5% in Europe. In the quarter ended September 30, 2017, cash flow per unit jumped 20.8%, to $0.29 U.S. from $0.24 a year earlier. The gains came from the stronger power generation at Brookfield’s plants.
