Aramco remains the world’s top oil producer

Saudi Arabia is the second largest oil producer in the world, delivering around 12 million barrels of oil per day. That’s 13% of the world supply. The country also holds the second-largest known oil reserves, measured at 267 billion barrels. That is the equivalent of 62 years of production at the current rate. Saudi is also among the top producers of natural gas and holds large reserves of gas. The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) is listed on the Saudi stock market. At $1.7 trillion, the market value of Aramco is about four times more than U.S. multinational oil producer Exxon Mobil, and seven times the value of Chevron. The company is the largest oil producer in the world, delivering over 10 million barrels per day. Aramco also owns a 70% stake in Saudi Basic Industries, one of the top five global chemical companies as well as downstream refining operations.
