Two new ETFs for Canadian investors

Capital Group is a privately owned investment manager with global operations. The manager recently launched its first four ETFs in Canada. We highlight the global equity ETF, as well as the international equity ETF. Capital Group Global Equity Select ETF $25.48 (Toronto symbol CAPG) invests globally in publicly listed companies. It is actively managed and has the MSCI All-Country World Equity Index as its benchmark. This ETF launched on October 22, 2024, and has $33.7 million in assets under management. The MER is 0.70%. U.S. companies make up 57% of the portfolio, followed by European companies (16%), and Canadian companies (7%). Information Technology carries the fund’s largest segment weighting (23%), followed closely by Health Care (15%), Financials (15%), Consumer Discretionary (14%), and Industrials (11%). The portfolio currently holds 103 stocks; top holdings include TSMC, Broadcom, Microsoft, Novo Nordisk, Nvidia, Alphabet and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
