Thanks to the rebound in stock market prices and new contract wins, State Street’s revenue in the three months ended June 30, 2021, rose 3.3%, to $3.03 billion from $2.94 billion a year earlier. Overall earnings in the quarter gained 3.0%, to $691 million from $671 million. Due to fewer shares outstanding, earnings per share rose at a faster pace of 4.8%, to $1.97 from $1.88. The company is now raising its quarterly dividend by 9.6% to $0.57 a share from $0.52. The new annual rate of $2.28 yields 2.7%.
