ANDREW PELLER LTD. Investors now receive $0.05125 a share, up 13.9% from $0.045. The new annual rate of $0.205 yields 1.6%. In the fiscal 2019 third quarter, ended December 31, 2018, Peller’s sales fell 0.4%, to $103.2 million from $103.6 million a year earlier. That’s mainly due to strong competition from value-priced wines in Western Canada. As well, Peller has discontinued some of its less-important brands. The company earned $7.8 million, or $0.18 a share, in the quarter. That’s down 37.5% from $12.4 million, or $0.29. Poor grape crops in international markets increased the price that it paid for imports of bulk wine for blending. Higher minimum wages in Ontario also added to its costs.
