The company has now formed a partnership with Fortinet, symbol FTNT on Nasdaq. Both companies are leaders in cybersecurity. Symantec, however, is more focused on cloud security, while Fortinet concentrates on corporate firewalls. In the first half of 2019, Symantec will integrate Fortinet’s firewall capabilities into its Internet-based Web Security Service (WSS). In turn, Fortinet will incorporate Symantec’s protection software into its products. Symantec is a top pick for 2018.
