Under a more-comprehensive transborder joint venture, the two aim to increase travel choices for customers who fly between the U.S. and Canada. The partnership, is expected to be in operation later this year. WestJet and Delta will coordinate their flight schedules and expand non-stop flights to new destinations. They will also offer enhanced frequent- flyer benefits, including rewards for top-tier members of both airlines. All in all, the new arrangement with Delta should bolster WestJet’s market share.
