A: BTB REIT, $5.06, symbol BTB.UN on Toronto (Units outstanding: 42.2 million; Market cap: $314.2 million; www.btbreit.com), owns 66 retail, office and industrial properties in Quebec and eastern Ontario. Together, they comprise over 5.7 million square feet of leasable area. The REIT’s occupancy rate is a high 93.6%. The trust continues to grow by acquisition: Between October 2018 and September 2019, BTB REIT acquired five properties. At the same time, it continues to sell those non-core assets with less desirable addresses. During that same period of time, it disposed of 11 such properties. In the three months ended September 30, 2019, the REIT’s revenue rose by 3.8%, to $24.0 million from $23.1 million a year earlier. Cash flow jumped 13.8%, to $6.1 million from $5.4 million.
