Hello Pat & company. What are your thoughts on The Timken Co.?

The Timken Co., $33.13, symbol TKR on New York (Shares outstanding: 98.9 million; Market cap: $3.3 billion; www.timken.com) makes bearings that are used in cars, heavy equipment, trains, computer equipment and airplanes. It also makes steel bars, rods and tubing, and offers other parts and services for civilian and military aircraft. In late May 2011, the company announced that it will buy privately owned Philadelphia Gear Corporation, which makes high-performance gear drives and components, mainly for the industrial and military marine markets. Strong sales of Timken’s products continue to outpace rising raw-material costs. The company needs a growing global economy to keep increasing its sales and earnings, but its outlook is positive. Timken shares trade at just 8.3 times this year’s forecast earnings of $4 a share. The stock yields 2.4%. Timken is okay to hold. ..
