ROCKWELL AUTOMATION INC., $309.05, symbol ROK on New York, provides industrial automation hardware and software products. The company’s Intelligent Devices segment accounts for 45% of sales, with its Software and Control business generating 28%, and its Lifecycle Services business contributing the remaining 27%. Rockwell has customers in over 100 countries that are served by 27,000 employees. In the quarter ended March 31, 2025, the company’s revenue decreased 5.9%, to $2.00 billion from $2.13 billion a year earlier. Revenue declined due to lower volumes for all three of its operating segments due to current economic uncertainty. Excluding one-time items, the company earned $279 million, or $2.45 per share, in the latest quarter. That was down 3.1% from $288 million, or $2.50. Rockwell shares are up strongly since releasing its latest results—despite the lower revenue and profits.
