In the three months ended June 30, 2012, Algonquin earned $0.05 a share, down from $0.07 a share a year earlier. Cash flow per share fell 22.2%, to $0.14 from $0.18. However, the declines were mostly the result of lower rainfall, which reduced the company’s electricity production. Algonquin has raised its quarterly dividend by 10.7%, to $0.0775 from $0.07. It now yield 4.7%. Algonquin Power & Utilities is still a buy.
