We think the first three stocks we analyze this week—Kimberley-Clark, PagerDuty and Vital Farms—provide some educational investor reading. Kimberley-Clark is a world leader in personal care and tissue products, including toilet paper and disposable diapers. Reading about its takeover of the #2 maker of diapers in Indonesia struck me as a great growth opportunity for the company. It may find additional growth opportunities like that in other emerging economies. North American investors see tissue products as mature markets with little growth potential. However, this used to be a growth market in North America. It still is a growth market in parts of India, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. A great deal has changed and continues to change in the emerging countries. In the last two decades, in fact, extreme poverty around the world has dropped at a faster pace than ever before in world history. This surprises many investors.
