I’ve been making notes for our upcoming Successful Investor Quarterly Client Letter, and it occurred to me that one of the most intelligent comments I’ve heard about Donald Trump this past week came from comedian Jim Gaffigan.
Gaffigan was open about his view of Trump—he said, “I would love for the Trump era to be done by Friday.” But he also said that since the election, he’s had other comedians opening for him who tried their political humour on his audience, and “I saw audience members looking at the ceiling…it’s that family argument that you have every Thanksgiving, when you’re like ‘Are we really gonna talk about that again?’”
That’s how I feel when people ask, “Have you changed your mind about Trump?” Mostly the question comes up in response to media coverage/interpretation of Trump’s latest verbal gaff, trade threat or whatever....
