MANITOBA TELECOM SERVICES INC. $33 (www. mtsallstream.com) reported that its revenue fell 3.5% in 2012, to $1.7 billion from $1.8 billion in 2011. That’s because revenue declined 8.3% at its Allstream division, which provides telecommunication services to businesses. However, strong demand for wireless data and its Internet TV service continues to offset weaker revenue from its traditional telephone operations. Earnings per share rose 3.1%, to $2.63 from $2.55, mainly due to savings from an ongoing cost-cutting plan. Buy.
