In the three months ended June 30, 2016, Colliers’s revenue rose 17.7%, to $482.5 million from $409.8 million a year earlier (all figures except share price and market cap in U.S. dollars). If you exclude one-time items, earnings rose 13.7%, to $24.5 million from $21.6 million. Per-share profits rose 8.6%, to $0.63 from $0.58, on more shares outstanding.

The company has named former prime minister Stephen Harper to its board of directors. Colliers continues to expand worldwide, and Mr. Harper’s international connections should add expertise in this area.

The outlook for the company is positive, but for the stock to keep rising, it needs global real estate markets to continue recovering. Meanwhile, it trades at 17.6 times the $2.35 U.S. a share Colliers will likely earn in 2016. The company raised its twice-yearly dividend by 25% with the July 2016 payment, to $0.05 U.S. from $0.04. The shares yield 0.2%.
