JONES GROUP INC. $15 (www.jonesgroupinc.com) has accepted a $15.00-a-share takeover offer from private equity firm Sycamore Partners. A majority of shareholders must approve, but Sycamore will probably complete the deal by June 30, 2014. A higher offer seems unlikely, so investors should tender their shares to receive the full $15.00 without paying brokerage fees. FAIR ISAAC CORP. $54 (www.fico.com) makes FICO Scores, a computer program that helps businesses make better decisions about customer creditworthiness. In its fiscal 2014 first quarter, which ended December 31, 2013, the company earned $0.73 a share, down 17.0% from $0.88 a year earlier. Revenue fell 3.0%, to $184.3 million from $190.0 million. The declines mostly resulted from a particularly strong year-earlier quarter, which included a big order from a major customer.
