As of March 31, 2022, the company had 4,308 stores worldwide, of which 1,350 were company-owned and 2,958 were owned by third parties. It also sells its products online and wholesale through other retailers. Approximately 65% of its sales are outside the U.S. On March 10, 2022, Skechers announced that it would open an experiential store in the metaverse (new virtual reality platforms). The company has leased the equivalent of a 5,000-square-foot location on virtual land owned by Metaverse Group to develop an immersive store at the Fashion Street Estate located in the Decentraland Metaverse.
