That San Franciscobased firm makes software that helps large organizations monitors the performance of their websites and mobile apps. That lets them quickly spot problems and fix them. Cisco paid $3.7 billion for AppDynamics. To put that price in context, its market cap is $168.0 billion. Buy. L BRANDS INC. $52 (www.lb.com) owns lingerie chain Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works stores, which sell personal care products. Its other chains include La Senza (lingerie) in Canada and Henri Bendel (jewellery and accessories) in the U.S. The company’s same-store sales fell 10% in the month of March 2017 from a year earlier.
