Hyperion Exploration, $0.89, symbol HYX on Toronto (Shares outstanding: 54.2 million; Market cap: $48.2 million; www.hyperionexploration.com), is a junior oil and natural gas producer with assets in Alberta and B.C. The company mainly operates near North Pembina, Buck Lake, Garrington, Niton, and Chip Lake, as well as in the Paradise area. Hyperion was formed as a result of the reorganization of Triple 8 Energy Ltd. in July 2010. Hyperion has purchased four properties since it was formed. That added production and reserves. In the three months ended September 30, 2011, Hyperion produced an average of 1,050 barrels of oil equivalent per day (weighted 54% to oil and 46% to gas). That gave the company cash flow of $0.05 a share. There are no comparable year-earlier results. Hyperion holds cash of $5.3 million, or $0.12 a share, and has no debt.
