A: StorageVault Canada, $2.54, symbol SVI on the TSX Venture Exchange, (Shares outstanding: 344.8 million; Market cap: $842.4 million; www.storagevaultcanada.com), owns and operates storage locations in B.C. (13), Alberta (19), Saskatchewan (7), Manitoba (6), Ontario (24), Quebec (12) and Nova Scotia (4). Its 87 facilities, including 3,586 portable storage units, make for a total of 4.9 million square feet of rentable space and 45,934 rental units. Those facilities operate under the Access Storage, Depotium Mini-Entrepots, Sentinel Storage and Storage For Your Life brands. The company’s portable storage business operates under the Cubeit and PUPS brands. In addition to the facilities it owns, StorageVault collects management fees for operating an additional 59 stores owned by third parties. In 2016, the company’s revenue rose 149.8%, to $27.8 million from $11.1 million in 2015. That was mostly due to acquisitions. Cash flow jumped 369%, to $7.5 million from $1.6 million.
