Good morning. I have a problem. I bought Duoyuan Global Water two years ago or more. It did great until about a year ago, then it stopped trading. Could you tell me what to do? Thanks and totally confused.

Duoyuan Global Water, formerly symbol DGW on New York (Shares outstanding: 24.6 million; www.duoyuan-hq.com), is a China-based water treatment and equipment supplier. The company had multiple lawsuits filed against it in 2010. Among other things, these suits alleged that there was a substantial interconnection between Duoyuan Global Water and Duoyuan Printing Inc. The plaintiffs argued that accounting irregularities and weak internal controls at Duoyuan Printing could negatively affect Duoyuan Global Water. The New York exchange halted trading in Duoyuan’s shares in April 2011 after Muddy Waters Research, a firm that specializes in finding Chinese companies to short sell, reported that it had uncovered accounting irregularities at the company. Duoyuan says it is still conducting an internal investigation to answer the allegations against it, but it has not reported any positive results. This delay diminishes any optimism we may have had for Duoyuan investors. At this point, there’s nothing to do but wait.
