Some of the company’s brands date back over 100 years and include Caddy, Erico, Hoffman, Raychem, Schroff and Tracer. The company was spun off from Pentair (symbol PNR on New York) on April 30, 2018. In July 2021, nVent completed the acquisition of Arizona-based CIS Global for $200 million. That firm is a provider of mission critical power and server rack-mount slide products for the datacentre and networking industries. CIS Global now operates independently within nVent. CIS Global has more than 850 employees in Arizona, China, India and Thailand. The addition of CIS Global strengthened nVent’s global offering in datacentres and networking solutions and expanded its capabilities in advanced technologies.
