eBay has gone through big changes over the last couple of years—spurred first by pressure from activist investors, then by COVID-19. The company now faces the same challenges as other online retailers in maintaining momentum gained during the pandemic. In addition, e-commerce is a fiercely competitive and fast-changing environment. Still, we think eBay’s renewed focus on its core business will let it speed up growth in both its revenue and profits.
