IRONNET INC., $25.76, symbol IRNT on New York, is a cybersecurity firm founded in 2014 by former U.S. National Security Agency director and retired Army General Keith Alexander. The company offers what it calls its Collective Defense platform. Collective defense aims to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor network traffic and warn of cyberthreats. The platform then shares anonymous data on those threats with users of its collaboration platform to help track and thwart any potential attacks. IronNet reports that it has generated 112,806 threat intelligence reports since its launch in 2014. It had 51 customers as of July 31, 2021. Today, Alexander is IronNet’s co-CEO, along with Bill Welch, former chief operating officer of cloud security company ZScaler Inc. By offering Collective Defense, IronNet adds subscription-based recurring revenue.
